Ceramic tiles continue to advance in their reputation. Their patterns are limitless, easy to care for, different colors and come in many trims to meet your design options. However, not all ceramics could go well with your house design and expectations. Make sure it is the right tile for you.
Size is the number one factor to look at. Ceramic tiles are prepared in a heat kiln and then cooled under varying temperatures and humidity levels. This might cause some of the tiles to be bigger in size than the others hence altering your design. Ensure that all the tiles that you buy are of the same size and in good shape.
The lot number is the second thing to consider. Make sure that all the tiles come from the same lot; not fetched from different ones. This will ensure that they have the same design and their color and patterns are the same. Different lot ceramic tiles could offer a variation in design which will show up on your floor giving a crashing result.
The need for personal customization especially where you will need to reshape the tiles by cutting should limit your choice. Some of the tiles such as the fully-vitrified ceramic tiles are impossible to cut. This will limit your design and may lead to breakages. Choose a tile that can be cut easily with an easily accessible saw.
Texture is the other factor that will influence your choice. Different projects require different textures. Choose a ceramic which is smooth enough to clean, bring a good appeal and that which does not create uncomfortable slipperiness.
Contacting a ceramic tiles wholesaler could save you money when purchasing the tiles. Wholesaler offer discounts on bulk purchases unlike the retailers. Moreover, let your contact person be a reliable dealer in the ceramics and one who has a good reputation. However, buying ceramics from any dealer just because they are cheap could land you to low quality tiles that will not last long.
